SUBMARINE BASE PEKUA is the first full-fledged submarine base of Bangladesh Navy which is strategically positioned at the coast of Bay of Bengal. This largest naval base of Bangladesh Navy stands on 764 acres of land enabling secure berthing and swift deployment of submarines. The base is capable to accommodate up to six submarines and eight warships.
The base was commissioned on 20 March 2023. She provides a secure location for the docking, maintenance, logistics, and armament support of submarines and warships. This base also administers advanced technical and operational training for submarine crews through a good number of modern simulators and workshops.
