BNS SHER-E-BANGLA 50 BED HOSPITAL

Introduction/History

Foundation work of the 50-bed hospital, BNS SEB, started on 24 June 2018. The hospital shifted to a new building on 9 June 2023 but has not yet been commissioned. Initially, an MI Room was established, followed by the gradual opening of an Observation Room, Dispensary, Laboratory, Male Ward, Female Ward, Officers' Ward, and Officers' Family Ward. The first medical specialist joined the hospital on 11 July 2023.

This hospital is the only medical facility in the Patuakhali Naval area. It provides medical treatment to Bangladesh Navy personnel, civilian employees, and their families. Additionally, emergency and first-aid support is offered to the local population.

4. During the deployment of the Bangladesh Navy, the hospital provides medical support to the respective contingent as well as local personnel.
