BNS Titumir is located on the banks of the Bhairab River with an area of 106.15 acres. BNS Titumir was commissioned on December 10, 1974. Since its inception, BNS Titumir has been conducting various operational, logistical and training activities as an important base for Bangladesh Navy. In addition, this base has been contributing to humanitarian assistance, disaster management and relief activities and rescue operations. In recognition of this, BNS Titumir was awarded the National Standard on October 2, 2019. It is worth noting that in the current situation of the country, BNS Titumir is operating as one of the main logistics bases for the naval contingents deployed under Commander Khulna Naval Area to ensure public safety and maintaining law and order situation.
BNS TITUMIR accommodates JCO’s training Institute(JTI) since 29 December 2023. This is the highest training Institute of Bangladesh Navy (BN) for sailors training.The Prime objective of this Institution is to is till knowledge on leadership and management, to take responsibility for performing command duties among professional compelent sailors.
Provost and Law School (PALS) is another training Institute at TITUMIR. The school was launched on 1976 at BNS ISSA KHAN. Later on 08th January 2011 the school was shifted to TITUMIR. Prime focus of PALS school is to grow up professional & basic law knowledge to officers and sailors.
