BNS SKM is one of the most strategically significant naval installations of Bangladesh Navy, located in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. BNS SKM plays a pivotal role in enhancing the operational capabilities of the Bangladesh Navy within the AOR. Its core responsibilities include executing diving and swiping operation for underwater inspections and maintenance as well as conducting salvage and rescue missions to ensure swift responses to maritime emergencies. The base also provides critical firefighting support across the Dhaka area, safeguarding vital infrastructure and assets. Additionally, BNS SKM provides supports to VIP movements for security swiping, ensuring the secure and seamless coordination of high-profile visits and events.
