BNS ISSA KHAN is one of the largest naval bases of Bangladesh Navy near the bank of Karnaphuli River in the port city Chattogram. She was commissioned on 10 December 1974 with a view to producing skilled manpower and provides operational and logistics support to Bangladesh Navy fleet Saint Martin, Chanua, Vashanchar and Cox’s Bazar.
Training Activities: BNS ISSA KHAN harbours the largest training facilities for BN. The Training Complex accommodates Gunnery School, Navigation and Direction (ND) School, Torpedo Anti Submarine (TAS) School, Signal School, Physical Training (PT) School, Nuclear Biological and Chemical Defence Including Fire Fighting and Damage Control (NBCD) School , School of Computer and Information Technology (SC & IT), Music School. These schools provide highest professional training to sailors. Besides, professional courses like Direct Entry Officers Course and PWO Gunnery (G), Navigation (N), Torpedo Anti-Submarine (TAS), Communication (C) Specialization Course for officers are conducted here.
