Bhashanchar Project: A beacon of hope for the hopeless

Following the 2017 Rohingya crisis, when over half a million Muslim Myanmar nationals of the Arakan State were forcibly displaced from their ancestral land by Myanmar Army and driven to Bangladesh through a reign of terror, arson, murder and rape, Bangladesh Navy undertook a monumental task of building shelters, healthcare facilities, sanitation systems, mosques, community schools, and other essential amenities for temporarily housing them in the remote island of Bhashanchar in the Bay of Bengal. This undertaking underscores the Navy's dedication to national and humanitarian responsibilities and reflects its pivotal role in providing hope and stability amidst adversity and despair.
