Commodore Md Mostafizur Rahman, (TAS), NGP, ndc, afwc, psc, BN was commissioned in Bangladesh Navy on 01 July 1993 in Executive Branch. The officer has served onboard various ships and establishments of Bangladesh Navy in different capacities like Executive Officer and Commanding Officer. He commanded total 7 ships of Bangladesh Navy and Coast Guard. In shore appointments, he was mainly the Officer-in-Charge of Torpedo Anti-Submarine School, instructor of Seamanship and Navigation School and the Commanding Officer of BNS SHAHEED MOAZZAM. He was also a contingent member of Bangladesh Force Riverine Unit in UNMIS and Commanding Officer of Bangladesh Force Marine Unit in UNMISS. The officer was also the Deputy Director in Naval Headquarters and a Directing Staff of Armed Forces War Course at National Defence College. Commodore Mostafiz served in Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC), Bangladesh Coast Guard and Chittagong Port Authority on deputation. For his distinguished service, he was awarded with NGP peace time medal. He obtained his M Phil degree from Bangladesh University of Professionals on Development and Strategic Studies. The officer is married and blessed with a son. Playing Squash is his passion.
